So let's talk....

Do you like the way you eat? Do you feel good, look the way you think you should, and are performing your best? Or do you want to improve, just not sure how to go about it? Chances are, you know there’s room for change – you want to make it a priority, but are simply too busy to figure out how that’s going to work for you.

You want to look and feel your best, and have probably tested out just about every diet/exercise approach out there. We hear you…been there, done that. Here at Revised Nutrition, our philosophy is simple - nutrition should be functional. It needs to fit your lifestyle, goals, nutritional needs, and tastes - that is the only way you will get lasting results.

Revised Nutrition started as an effort to address a fundamental problem that each of us were seeking to solve- finding balance. You know, how to maintain a healthy lifestyle while juggling the demands of life - kids, jobs, running a home, working out, etc.  Basically, just being an adult. We all know the importance of a healthy diet, but sometimes it takes a back seat to the more pressing demands of life.

We get it…the nutrition world can be downright overwhelming. Everyone claims to have a corner on the truth. So let’s save you some time and tell you the “secret” up front…there is no magic pill or secret regimen. Fundamentally, it comes down to two factors: what you eat, and how much. If you eat the right foods in the right portion for your lifestyle, you will feel better, look better, and perform better. That’s it.

Now how that looks for each person will vary – and that’s okay. Simply put, what you eat, how much you eat, and an active lifestyle will bring sustainable results. We will help you get there by taking the guess work out of it and helping you find the right approach to eating that will get you the results you’ve been hoping for.

the faces behind Revised nutrition

is a nomad who has followed both her Army Dad and Marine husband around the world. She calls Hawaii home, but is grateful to live in sunny southern California with her husband and two kids.

As a busy mom she tries to combat the crazy of life with exercise and wine. She used to be a distance runner, but found that the hours and miles she was putting in didn’t produce the results she was hoping for. No matter how she dieted or trained, her looks and performance weren’t changing. After the birth of her son she got the courage to walk into a Crossfit gym and never looked back.

She credits Crossfit not only for changing her outlook on exercise (she gets a little cranky if she doesn’t get to work out) but also on functional fitness. Now she can vacuum while holding a 30-pound toddler AND carry all of her groceries inside in one trip. Total mom win.

She experimented with every diet she could find (Paleo, clean eating, Whole30) but nothing seemed sustainable or produced the results she was working so hard for. When she found flexible dieting, all the pieces finally seemed to fit together. A sustainable, life-changing way of eating that eliminated nothing (she has a weakness for pizza and craft beer) and left her feeling satisfied.

The best part was how properly fueling her body made her feel.  Her exhaustion subsided, her gym performance increased, and her entire wardrobe needed to be replaced.

As a former teacher, she is excited to find a way to still help and teach others. She wants to give everyone the tools to make the lifestyle changes that will lead to a balanced life.

Mindy is a wife of a firefighter and mom to 3 busy kiddos ages 13, 10 and 9. She spends her days in her car chauffeuring them to their sports and school activities.

It’s fun, but can be extremely overwhelming. Especially when trying to fit fitness and healthy eating into the equation.

She is very dedicated to her fitness routine working out 5-6 days a week. After years of running and doing cardio at a globo gym, Mindy finally decided to try something new. Her husband had been trying for years to get her to try Crossfit. Scared of getting bulky she was hard to convince, but after years of not getting the results she was looking for, she finally gave in.

Turned out to be the best decision she ever made. She has never felt stronger or more confident at the young age of 42. Not only that, she has made lifelong friends that feel more like an extended family.

With Crossfit came lots of different approaches to nutrition that she wanted to explore. Paleo, clean eating, Whole 30....just to name a few. All these diets were great, but she was still not getting the results she wanted. That’s when she discovered flexible dieting with her friends at the gym.

Finally, a program that worked with her busy lifestyle and got her the results she was looking for! She lost 14 pounds and had more energy than she has had in years. All the while she never felt hungry or deprived! With flexible dieting, Mindy has discovered the perfect fit for her busy lifestyle.
